Ever since starting my work towards a PhD in 'Leisure Behavior', my favorite free-time activities have been lacking. I still do a lot of fun things with the family, but I miss my craftier side and all of the bloggy fun I used to have with my crochet friends online, so this blog will hopefully document a return to crafty fun! :)

felted bag class
I made this bag in a class at 'Yarns Unlimited' yesterday. I am very excited about the result as my first felting project. We used the Scandinavian felting method and made the bags in one piece. Paula was a great teacher, and I look forward to experimenting much more on my own. Wool roving is a very different media than straight-up wool. The roving I was working with was very soft. I still don't know whether or not I'm going to add handles to this bag or just keep it as-is.

Hey Greenman, that bags looks fantastic. Is that your felting craftmanship? It looks good.
Thanks Andy! It was my first felting experience, but I'm hoping to try it some more in the near future!
